Every child and young person deserves the chance to thrive but not all have equal access to the support and resources they need to do so. That's why we work tirelessly with, and through, others to ensure young people in Cumbria and the District of Lancaster can fulfil their potential.

We’re one of the largest independent grant funders in the area that's solely focused on children and young people (up to the age of 24). You’ll find us distributing over £1m every year, supporting initiatives that make a difference to their lives. We also provide social investment loans and help with organisational development.

Eligibility to our social investment programme is wider than for our grants programmes. Though our geographical preferences and improving outcomes for young people remain our overall objectives we still welcome applications from organisations that require loans to increase social impact. 

We provide Social Investment Loans from £57,000 to £387,000 throughout the Cumbria and Lancashire area and we are an access point for the reach fund, so can provide support to take a fledgling idea into a robust business plan.
