We support charities and social enterprises to build stronger and fairer communities. We offer funding and flexible, adaptive support to the organisations that make up the social economy, providing them with the tools they need to make a positive difference to the communities they work within.

We have helped hundreds of organisations become more resilient and sustainable so that they can grow and increase their impact.

We were one of the UK’s first social investors and since 2002 have provided hundreds of millions of pounds in loans and grants to charities and social enterprises.

We believe in helping organisations get ready to take on the investment they need and have recently managed programmes to help organisations ready to take on investment by providing access to specialist support from approved consultants and advisers.
